Apple provides XCode 4 Preview 5. This version uses new LLVM 2.0 compiler and LLDB debugger, provides a single-window interface, includes Interface Builder features, new assistants for classes modeling, Fix-it for code analysis, a version editor (with Time Machine like browsing). and extended profiling through Instruments (now manages OpenGL ES performance).

Apple announced it will be working with Oracle on OpenJDK for MacOSX. Apple will continue to bring MacOSX specific implementation for network and client layer (since MacOSX 10.0 Apple provided access to native Aqua widgets, transparent multiprocessing, etc.).
The MacOSX 10.6.5 update is available through software update (also a combo update).
